This is my current five day forecast and shows that there will be a possibility of severe weather on Thursday and Friday. Next week looks rainy as well.
That brings me to the future and where the weather world will be headed after Wednesday. Thursday and Friday look to feature a lot of rain and a possibility of a severe weather outbreak. We could very well be seeing some strikes of lightning and a few rumbles of thunder. I think that 1-3" of rain for the immediate tristate area is very possible. This will cause localized flooding concerns. Especially since the streams, creeks and rivers are already up due to the past rain storm.
This is a map off of the NOAA site, this comes from the GFS Weather Ensemble. It is showing this storm with a huge bang. I think the GFS is handling this storm well and shows the right amount of moisture that this storm will bring with it.
This is the total precipitation forecast from the GFS and is showing 2.00-2.50" for the immediate tristate. There is a possibility of 3" locally and of course that can't really be forecasts, because we don't know where that will be.
This is what my rainfall forecast map looks like and I don't think it will change much. But I will certainly update any changes that I see.
Storm Track
Here is my map for severe weather possibilities. Anywhere located in the Orange will possibly be impacted by heavy winds with thunderstorms. Anyone in the RED will possibly be impacted with heavy winds, thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes.
Severe Weather Maps
This is off of weather.com. The Weather Channel. It shows the tornado threat for march and since march is right around the corner. It can apply to this time frame also.
Have a great WEDNESDAY!
