SPRING WEATHER AT IT'S BEST!!

Well, Today (Sunday) we will start out with a bit of mixed precipitation.  We will see our first area of low pressure working across the Northern Ohio Valley, this will be an aide in dropping a good rainfall over the next day, it won't be until the second area of low pressure work across the Southern Ohio Valley that we get pounded with rain.

I haven't made any changes to the 5 day forecast, so it will stand as called earlier.

If we're looking into the future boy do we have a wild weather week ahead of us.  It appears that we will see a good amount of rain that will come through the Ohio Valley area and it will definitely leave it's mark.  For us college kids it means walking to class in the pouring down rain for Monday and part of  Tuesday.  The first low will come through the area today and last through tonight, the second low will then kick in and carry us into Tuesday.  This looks to be an interesting storm.  There is still that threat for a light accumulation of snow toward the end of the storm and should be noted that it will be light.  Most places may just pick up a .5" of snow and it will be hard to get that the farther south you live.

In the middle of the week we will see temps rebound and take a turn to the north and that will raise our temps back up into the 50's and 60's.  There may be a few sprinkles of precipitation during this time as well.  But not enough to be worried about.

The end of the week will likely usher in a MAJOR storm and could impact the region with  flooding, heavy snow, and ICE.  It all depends on the temperature line and where exactly that 32° degrees line sets up.  If it set up just above us we get a mix, to our north we get rain, to the south we get snow.

I have several maps that will try and help you understand more of what I'm talking about.

Sunday-Tuesday MAPS

This is off of the NOAA site.  The GFS shows where the secondary low will work it's way eastward and will also carry most of the storms moisture for our neck of the woods.

This is the GFS's map of total precipitation for the incoming storm.  I wasn't kidding when I said this storm will bring some well needed moisture area.  This bring .75"-1.00" inch of rain to us and we can certainly use it.

Areas of precipitation.

This should be the track of the storm and it's two lows!!

Friday-Sunday Maps

This is the late week system and it's not messing around with anyone, just flat out socking it to us!

It really brings close to 1.50" inches of liquid.............WOW let's see where this goes....

It has some good backing from other models as well.....

Goodnight all.
